At Calare Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Calare Art Studio
Welcome to Calare Public School's Virtual Art Gallery.
Here you will find a selection of artworks created in Visual Arts with Mrs Jones (K, 1, 2, 5 & 6) will be featured in various online art exhibitions throughout the year.
Debating
Debating at Calare develops students’ critical thinking, teamwork and communication skills. Students learn to research topics, listen to differing viewpoints and confidently present arguments in a supportive, structured environment.They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Public Speaking
Public speaking at Calare builds student confidence and effective communication skills. Students have opportunities to represent the school in events such as the CWA Public Speaking Competition, showcasing their speaking skills beyond the classroom.
Choir
Choir at Calare provides students with opportunities to develop vocal skills, confidence and teamwork. Students perform at eisteddfods and take part in major events such as Schools Spectacular, proudly representing our school on a large stage.
Dance
Dance at Calare allows students to explore creativity, coordination and performance. Students participate in eisteddfods, Western Dance, the PSO and the Schools Spectacular, gaining valuable performance experience.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Project
The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program provides students with hands-on learning experiences in the kitchen and garden. Students grow, harvest and prepare fresh food, developing practical life skills while learning about sustainability, health and where food comes from.
Breakfast club
Breakfast Club at Calare ensures every child starts the day feeling welcomed and supported, with all students invited from 9:00am and volunteers creating a warm morning environment.
PSSA Sporting Teams
PSSA sporting teams at Calare provide students with opportunities to compete in knockout competitions across a wide range of sports. Teams represent the Western Region, with pathways through to State Championships.
Inclusive sporting days
Inclusive sporting days ensure all students have the opportunity to participate in physical activity in a supportive and welcoming environment. Activities are designed to suit a range of abilities, with a focus on participation, teamwork and enjoyment.
Guest Speakers
Guest speakers regularly visit Calare to enrich learning and broaden students’ understanding of the world. These experiences support curriculum learning and inspire students through real-life connections.

Excursions
Through a range of neighbourhood, local and statewide excursions, students at Calare explore their community and beyond, enhancing learning through authentic and engaging experiences.
Band
Our band program offers students the opportunity to learn and perform music through brass band and guitar programs. Students showcase their skills at eisteddfods and school events, building confidence and a love of music.
Helping Hands
The Helping Hands program provides Stage 3 students with leadership opportunities as they support younger students in the playground during lunch times, fostering care, responsibility and positive relationships.
Peer Support
Peer Support provides opportunities for older students to guide and support younger peers, helping build friendships, confidence and a strong sense of belonging within our school.
