Kindergarten Transition

A smooth transition to kindergarten can set the stage for a child's future success in school. Children who start school feeling confident, capable, and supported are more likely to stay engaged and motivated throughout their educational journey.

Kindergarten Transition can:

  • provide a smooth transition which helps ensure that children are adequately prepared to start learning fundamental concepts about school - Academic Preparedness.
  • help children feel more comfortable and confident in these new social settings - Social and Emotional Development.
  • facilitate effective communication between educators and parents - Parental Involvement.
  • helps children feel like they belong and are part of this new community, which can have a positive impact on their overall school experience - Community Building.

  • help alleviate anxiety by making the process more predictable and familiar - Reduces Anxiety.

Kindergarten typically follows a structured routine, which can be a significant change for children who may not have experienced such structure in their pre-school years, by attending a transition program, children will become familiar with the routine and structure of their school days.
